P/b, 11 x 15cm, 63p.  Prepared by Objective Data Section, Intelligence Center, Pacific Ocean Areas.  1st edition, printed February 1943.  Essentially a survival manual for naval personnel in the Pacific, particularly the naval aviator, who had a greater risk of becoming a castaway. Chapters include: Enlisting Native Aid, Native Villages, Physical Features of the Islands, Animal and Insect Pests, Tropical Boy Scouting, Rubber Boating, Water, Food, Fish and Meat.  It concludes by advising the castaway put their trust in the natives.  Illustrated.  Good used.  Stock code P23888.
