RAF B-type flying helmet

By Frank Bryan Ltd. Size 2 (6^7/8 - 7). 1940 dated. The overall appearance is good '+'. The leather is very supple and has a good original chromed finish. The fitted zipped earpieces are in good condition with working original zips, one complete with leather pull tag. The receiver carriers (inside the earpieces) are absent but unseen in use. The chinstrap has been cut slightly short and the Bennett buckle lacks its leather covering and the small metal loop that the strap feeds through. The backstrap and rear Bennett buckle are very good. The chamois lining is complete and undamaged with average even soiling. The chamois donuts are a bit squashed from storage. 1940 dated maker's label sewn in at the crown ( loose in one corner). Unwired. Wiring, receivers, microphones and jackplugs can be supplied at extra cost if required. Photographed with rubber cushions inside the earpieces but these are not included in the sale.
