RAF C-type flying helmet, late pattern

Stores reference 22c/879, size 3 (7^1/8- 7 ^3/8).  The leather is quite supple, clean and  in very good overall condition.  It is embossed with War Department broad arrow and reference codes.  All goggle straps are very good and  the press studs retain most of their original coatings.  Both rubber receiver carriers are excellent and fully flexible.  However,  the lining is damaged with quite large sections of chamois missing and some holes in the donuts.  The chinstrap is a ragged and faded but does retain elasticity.  Wired with a light tan coloured loom and black cased jackplug but the microphone plug has been removed and the wiring/braiding is frayed.  No receivers fitted.  This still displays quite well as all of the damage is internal.   Stock code H18952.
