RAF C-type flying helmet, late pattern

Stores reference 22c/879, size 3 (7^1/8-7 ^3/8).  The leather is supple, clean and  in good/good ‘+' overall condition.  The surface is a little scuffed in places but damage is restricted to a couple of small holes on the left side (as worn).  All goggle straps are good and retain most of the original coating on the press studs.  Some metal components have soft verdigris deposits but these are quite easy to remove with methylated spirits.  The lining is complete/undamaged with average soiling.  Both rubber receiver carriers are good but a little stiff.  The chinstrap is rather faded with some fraying and has little elasticity remaining.  Wired with a pink flecked dark tan coloured loom, type 32 (10A/13466) receivers and black cased bell jackplug.  A good ‘+’ used helmet.  Stock code H23471.
