RAF type G oxygen mask

Stores reference 6D/644. Size medium. The rubber is a little soiled but remains supple and the overall shape is quite good. This example is from an early moulding and has a distinctive textured finish around the nose area. The mask has some cracking and perishing around the edges - mainly close the nose but there is also some around the inspiration valve and microphone etc. The nosewire remains in place but is no longer retained within the rubber lug at the centre. The harness is stretched, faded and has lost elasticity. Lined in quite clean tan suede. The mask is fitted with a type 48 microphone assembly (type 25 microphone, loom and socket).
