RAF aircrew blouse, 1942

'Suits, Aircrew, Blouse'. Stores reference 22c/402. Size 16 (Ht. 6'1" - 6'2", Ch. 37- 38", Wt. 34"). By M & N. Horne Ltd. 1942 dated. Standard early aircrew battledress blouse. It has been completely stripped of all insignia but there are tell-tale signs/threads indicating where it used to be. The blouse generally looks very good and is clean and moth free. The chest pocket buttons have been replaced (plastic) and two of the metal buttons are missing (front/cuff). Unfortunately someone has altered the size and changed the dimensions of the waistband at the back, reducing the waist size to approximately 29/30". With some effort it would probably be possible to reverse the changes but please ask for more details if you are intending to wear this item. Stock code U22956.
