Press photograph, approximately 21.5 x 16.5cm.  Excellent image of 9th AAF pilots sitting on the wing of one of their P-47 'Thunderbolt' aircraft fitted with a 500 pounder demolition bomb and belly fuel tank.  The pilots are wearing kit such as RAF C-types, AN6530 and MK.VIII goggles B-4 Mae Wests and A-14 masks.  Full caption to rear.  Dated April 1944.  Good condition.  Stock code P24215A-74.
