Probably manufactured by Dupage. Approximately 8 x 3cm. Brown bakelite container with a screw-off lid and small integral compass that can be viewed from the top. The base is marked 'US' and would originally have had an inset striker strip (now absent). In very good used condition although the compass rotor doesn't move as freely as it should and tends to 'stick'. With approximately 18 original matches. Used in various AAF survival kits, the C-1 sustanance vest etc. Stock code M19389.
