This rarely found unit history gives a full account of the 512th, part of the 9th AAF in the ETO, from its arrival in Kent.  It was one of the first over the beachhead on D-day and was based in Germany at VE day.  Illustrated with great photos throughout of the men, their groundcrews and backroom boys, many in front of their P-47 aircraft.  There are others of daily life in the squadron, shots of bases in England, Belgium and Germany, captured aircraft etc.  It lists combat statistics, the names of decorated officers and enlisted men along with their medal entitlements.  There is also a full list of personnel.  The book comes with a certificate from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in recognition of the service of Frederick Driscoll in the armed forces durign WW2.  His name is in the list of enlisted men of the 512th.  There are some small tears to the edges of the cover but overall condition is good to very good.  An extremely interesting, useful and rare book.
