Photograph album to Technical Sergeant William A. Seeman (39388277).  He appears to have been based in Northern Egypt during the 1942/3.  The first twenty or so photos are of Port Said followed by small snapshots of personnel on an airbase.  After these there are approximately 27 images of aircraft at the base including C-47/Dakotas, B-26 Marauders, B-24 Liberators, B-25 Mitchell, Hawker Hurricane, P-40, Walrus, Gladiator, Fairly Albacore, Fulmar, Lysander, Wellington, Blenheim,  Luftwaffe Me109, Me110 etc.  There is also one that appears to be of Air Vice-Marshal Arthur Coningham, officer commanding RAF Middle East who oversaw the formation of the Western Desert Air Force. Further photographs show damaged buildings and aircraft (Me109, Ju87 Stuka) and a series of images showing the destruction of a Sunderland flying boat. There are a total of approximately  87 photographs of which roughly 35 feature aircraft.  Seeman was discharged in 1943 and two official documents relating to this accompany the album as do one of his dog-tags and a good luck charm depicting  Saint Catherine Labouré.  The album itself appears to be leather covered card, the front tooled and coloured with illustrations of Egyptian figures, pyramids etc. The inner pages are blue card and most images are inserted via photo corners (not glued in).  An interesting album worthy of more research.  Stock code P24215A-119.
