RAF pilot's service dress uniform

SOLD

Code: U24515

Early post WW2 four pocket service dress tunic manufactured by Herbert Chappell Ltd, London.  Measures approximately 36" pit to pit.  It is named to P.J. Hake and has original WW2 pattern King's crown wings and ribbons for the DFC, DFM & Bar, 1939-45 star, Atlantic star, Defence, War, General Service & Long Service/Good Conduct medals.  Flight lieutenant rank lace, King's crown brass buttons and solid cast brass belt buckle.  Also with matching wartime pattern trousers with button fly and high waist.  These measure approximately 32" waist, 31" inside leg.  The overall appearance of the uniform is very good but there are a few small moth holes on both jacket and trousers.  Also note wear to Atlantic star ribbon and some loose stitching in armpit are of the lining.  Unresearched.  Could be put together but the wing itself is almost worth the asking price.  Stock code U24515.
