RAF 'Irvin' flying suit trousers

Thermally Insulated Flying Suit, Trousers, Electrically Wired. Stores reference 22c/344. Size 4. The leather is in excellent overall condition, completely supple and clean with only very minor wear. No rips, tears or repairs. Excellent dense fur lining. Original 'D-o-T' zips complete with leather pull tags in good working condition. With the original braces (retaining a little elastication), pockets and label with 1940 contract code. This rare pair was originally wired for use with heated bootees/slippers. The actual wires and plugs have been carefully removed but the leather channels remain in place and it would be relatively simple to reinstate these if desired. A lovely pair. Stock code J24450.
