RAF training helmet

A basic flying helmet produced in blanket lined tan twill cotton.  Matching chin strap fastened with a single pronged buckle fastening (absent in this case).  An adjustable buckled strap runs across the forehead and the helmet is elasticated at the nape of the neck.  Earflaps on each side could be used with Gosport tube fittings or folded back to form a wind break roll.  No visible markings or label.  Rather dirty, not fully supple and has some fraying. Wear/damage to the chinstrap and buckled strap is missing.  A bit tatty. Stock code H19963.
