RAF external wiring loom with type 20 microphone

External flying helmet wiring loom.  Stores reference 10A/10353. Type Q loom wired to a type 20 microphone (type 21 when 'mounted' as here) ready for fitting to a type D oxygen mask.  The type 20, stores reference 10A/11994 has a black painted alloy casing and is often referred to as the '1941' pattern although it was actually introduced in October 1940. It has minor paint loss on exposed edges and some corrosion but is in good overall condition. Air Ministry and King's crown markings to the front face. It retains the original (perished) rubber 'band' around the microphone on the reverse.  The dark tan/plum coloured loom is soiled, a little faded and has fraying to the cotton sheathing in one place. Fitted with an early  brown cased bell jackplug.  All ready for your B-type helmet.   Stock code O10552.
