Soft-backed faux leather album approximately 31.5 x 22cm. Contains 29 black & white photographs, a dinner menu, cards etc. They appear to relate to service at RAF St. Jean in Palestine (Now Israel). A couple show Lord Tedder, Commander in Chief RAF Middle Eastern Command and Air Commodore Sir Hugh Saunders adjacent to an AVRO Anson. Others show Sir Bernard 'Monty' Montgomery inspecting troops, bomb damaged buildings and bridges etc. Most are printed on Air Ministry paper and some have 1946 date stamps to the rear. A 1946 dance invitation relates to RAF Station Lydda and the 4th Battalion Parachute Regiment c.September 1946. Good condition. Stock code P22873-177.
