Published to acquaint AAF flying personnel with tried and tested ways of using the parachute in emergency situations. 'All of the parachute should be saved because from it can be made shelters, clothing, packs, signals, hunting and fishing implements, first aid materials and other important survival aids'. Issued one per parachute to be packed with the parachute log record card. Illustrated throughout. Folded and with dog eared page edges, small tears and rusting staples.
