Official Air Ministry photograph of Air Commodore (later Air Vice Marshall) Joseph Cox C.B., O.B.E., D.F.C. Approximately 19.5 x 25cm. Cox was born in 1904 and flew as a pilot with 70 Squadron in 1936. He was Commanding Officer (CO) of 15 Squadron in 1940 and CO of 31 Bombing & Gunnery School at Picton, Canada during 1942. A good clear image showing him in service dress uniform and cap. Some creasing. Accompanied with a letter sent by him (when based in Ceylon c.1953) to his friend Wing Commander F.W.J. Paddon O.B.E., A.F.C. Cox died in 1986. Stock code P20817.
