RAF Knife, Survival, Hunter

SOLD

Code: S24702

Stores reference 27C/7018504.  Part No. MRIGQ1604, Issue 1.  Approximately 111mm in length x 18.5mm wide. Weight 126g.  Manufactured in Switzerland by the famous 'Swiss Army Knife' company Victorinox and supplied to the RAF by GQ Parachutes as part of their contracts for the provision of parachute and aircrew survival equipment.  Essentially this is a specially procured version of the 'Hunter' model with red polyamide grips, 1 x large stainless steel blade, 1 x bottle/can opener, wire stripper, 5mm flat head screwdriver, 1 x small gutting blade, 1 x reamer/punch, corkscrew, wood saw, tweezers, toothpick and key ring/lanyard ring. The main blade is lockable with the use of a sliding button on the reverse of the grips which are faintly marked with the Victorinox logo and part number.  The large blade is clearly etched with the stores reference code.  Aside from the wear to the markings on the grip this is in very good condition.  A rare find.  Stock code S24702.
