RAF aircrew torch, boxed

RAF Torch, Electric, Type A.  Stores reference 5A/3391.  Blue painted metal torch approximately 17 x 4cm.  Sliding switch to operate.  The casing has some paint loss and very minor corrosion in places and the original acetate lens is a bit cloudy.  Very faint War Department broad arrow and reference details are pressed into the case.  With the original bulb and in working condition (takes 2 x standard 1.5volt 'D' cells - not included).  The torch comes in the original stores box, last packed/checked in September 1947.  Air and ground use, this is the same as those used by wartime flight engineers.  Stock code M24715.
