SOLD

Code: J25021

Jacket, Flying, Man's, Intermediate, Type G-1.  By Star Sportswear Mfg. Co. of Massachusetts.  Size 44.  Physically measures approximately 45").  This is a 1960s 'C' series Vietnam war period jacket, SPEC-MIL-J-7823C(WEP), Contract No. DSA-1-3271-64-C (1964).  Manufactured in seal brown goatskin with matching rayon/nylon lining.  The leather is in excellent overall condition, strong, clean, and aside from a small hole in the lower back, undamaged.  It is slightly dry/stiff to the touch but fit for wear and would no doubt soften up a bit with some leather dressing and use.  The letters 'USN' are pierced into the zip flap. The original waistband is a little stretched but only has a couple of small holes.  There is fairly minor damage to both cuffs but mostly the left side.  Excellent mouton fur collar with a buttoned closure strap. The original brass Conmar No.10 zip is fully functional and the owner has attached four Japanese 5 Yen coins to the puller tag.  The lining is undamaged and complete with label. This lovely jacket has the original US Marine Corps Reserve pilot owner's name patch sewn in place, Lt. Colonel John A. Justice, USMCR.  Stock code J25021.
