Stores reference 22c/878, size 2 (71/8-73/8). The leather is supple, quite clean, and other than some surface scuffing and wear, in good/good '+' overall condition. All goggle straps are good and the press studs retain most of their original coatings. Note that the chinstrap closure stud is missing but will be replaced with a new one (if requested)before despatch. Both rubber receiver carriers have been cut down and would require replacing in order to fit receivers. Reproductions are available for about £35/pr. The chinstrap is soiled and a little ragged but does retain some elasticity. Faint Air Ministry King's crown and reference marks embossed into the leather. This is a first pattern internally wired helmet of definite wartime manufacture. All you need to do is reinstate the receiver carriers and it will be a nice complete helmet. Sold unwired. Stock code H25088.
