USAAF all purpose goggle

By Polaroid.  Single-piece moulded foam rubber frame similar in appearance to the B-8 goggle.  They were issued with a range of clear and tinted plastic acetate lenses including a red one that was favoured by airgunners.  The red tint making it easier to see tracer fire in daylight conditions.  The frame is good and supple with minor soiling and crazing/cracks.  The simple strap retains elasticity and the fitted clear lens is quite good. These goggles were also issued to tank crews, paratroops etc, hence their 'All Purpose' title.  Good used.  Stock code G25215.
