RAF B-type flying helmet

Stores reference 22c/65.   Size 2 (6^7/8 - 7).  The overall appearance is reasonable.  Much of the leather at the sides and crown is supple with good original finish but there is some loss of chroming, cracking and surface peeling, mainly, but not exclusively, on the rear panels.  Fitted with zipped earpieces, both in good condition with original zips, one retaining an original leather puller tab.  The rubber receiver carriers are fitted within and each earpiece has a very good RCAF  sponge cushion.  Both rear straps are good, the chinstrap is worn through use but retains the metal end piece.  Both Bennett buckles are very good.  The chamois lining is quite clean with less than average soiling but a few small holes.  Complete with Air Ministry label at the inner crown.  Unwired.  Wiring, receivers, microphones and jackplugs can be supplied at extra cost if required.   Stock code H25192.
