Luftwaffe Flieger splitterschutzbrille - reproduction

SOLD

Code: G24851

Reproduction of the famous Nitsche & Gunther goggles.  Fl. Nr. 30550. Type 'A'.  Introduced in 1944 these third pattern 'anti-splinter' goggles have moulded black plastic frames that hinge at the nose.  They are fitted with small convex (slightly) tinted glass lenses (type A) designed to provide some protection from flying shrapnel debris.  These excellent reproduction goggles were probably manufactured in Czechoslovakia and plenty of people have bought similar pairs thinking them to be the real deal.  Marked "NiGuRa" (Nitsche and Gunther, Rathenow).  No size markings.  The lenses have light scratches only.  The strap is a little stretched but retains some elasticity.  An excellent cost effective gap filler or ideal for the reenactor.  Stock code G24851.
