RAF Mountain Rescue Smock

RAF Anorak (Orange), for Mountain Rescue.  Manufactured by Black & Edgington Ltd. (later known simply as Blacks of Greenock).  Stores reference 22G/8405-99-463.  Size Large.  Classic generously cut overhead smock pattern with drawstring hood and zipped neck, large Velcro flapped map pocket on the chest, two lower flapped pockets with button closure, drawstring waist, concealed elasticated cuffs, and a buttoned crotch strap.  Bright orange cotton/poplin exterior with dark green lining.  Light wear and soiling and has a small stitched repair to the rear, otherwise in excellent condition.  A similar example is held in The Scottish Mountain Heritage Collection.  Rare to find and highly sought after, these have been copied by various high-end manufacturers.  Save your money, buy an original.  Stock code J25322.
