RAF MK.1 navigator's chart board plotting arm

Chart Table Plotter, Mk.1. Stores reference 6B/232. Plotting arm manufactured from blue/black painted brass. With rotating 'head' fitted with a perspex rule. A sytem of two clamps enables attachment/movement on the edge of a plotting board or table of a wartime bomber. This arm is substantially larger and of superior quality to those found on the handheld/knee chartboards. Each section is approximately 30cm long and the perspex rule measures 30cm x 10cm. With King's crown Air Ministry marks and reference codes. Shown attached to an aluminium rail but this can be removed in seconds by releasing the clamps. Light use and wear but in very good overall condition. Stock code M25331.
