RAF 1941 pattern Mae West

SOLD

Code: MW25437

'Life-saving Waistcoat, Stole Inflated'.  Stores reference 22c/448.  Size large.  The cloth is generally in very good to excellent condition, a little faded but reasonably clean.  There is a small repaired tear on the front left lobe (glued patch on the inside) and a few small holes in the canvas flotation lamp pocket.  Complete with all leg straps, both grab handles, tying tapes and buttons (replacements), inflation lever pocket, floatation lamp pocket, fluorescine flap/strap and skull cap/heliograph pocket.  This example appears to have never had a lifeline/toggle fitted.  Excellent Air Ministry marked zip (minor repairs around zip ends as shown).  The label is faded but Air Ministry King's crown and size marks are just visible.  An original (worn) oatmeal coloured plastic 'ditching' whistle is attached via a cord lanyard, otherwise 'empty'.  A great display piece.  Stock code MW25437.
