RAF Airgunner tunic/trousers c.1945

SOLD

Code: U26138

Jackets, Blue-Grey W.O. Pattern.  By Frazer Ross Ltd., Glasgow.  Size 7 (Height 5'7" - 5'8", Breast 35" - 36", Waist 31" -32'.  1945 dated. A relatively scarce official Warrant Officer pattern four pocket service dress tunic with a flat 'AG' brevet and woven King's crown W.O. sleeve badges.  Overall appearance is good but the barathea cloth is a little faded and soiled.  It is peppered with small holes, the worst of which have been photographed - the rear of the right arm, above the belt at the back, back of the collar, lower edges of the bottom pockets etc.  In our opinion they do not detract much at all.  The tunic retains its original belt with cast buckle and all original buttons.  The lining is good with clear label, named to Warrant Officer Gayton.  Complete with matching button fly service dress trousers.  These are in reasonable overall condtion but a little soiled and they also have a few small moth holes/moth trailing - see photographs.  Please note that all moth damage is completely inactive and the uniform has been stored at minus 18 degrees for several weeks to kill any live moth, larvae and eggs that might have been present at the time of purchase.  Stock code U26138.
