Polish flying helmet

Polish helicopter crew flying helmet, type THL-5. Manufactured in fibreglass, part lined with rigid foam. A nylon webbing harness supports a foam-backed leather crown pad and an adjustable part fabric 'inner helmet'. This houses integral rigid plastic receiver carriers with cushioned leather earpads. The helmet has a tinted acrylic visor operated via a lever on the left side, and concealed beneath a rigid reinforced plastic guard when not in use. The helmet is in excellent overall condition, finished in its original orange paintwork. It is wired with receivers, loom with 4-pin plug, and has a boom microphone fitted. The lining is also very good, showing only light wear and use. It appears that the original label has been deliberately removed - remnants remain. A great looking scarce bonedome. Stock code H26110.
