Stores reference 27P/11. Approximately 11 x 8.5 x 2.6cm. Manufactured and packed by the Proprietors of State Express Cigarettes. Gilt metal box by the Metal Box Co., similar in size/shape to a standard old tobacco tin. Printed on the lid with wording 'Cigarettes', war department broad arrow and 'Guaranteed until 1st October 1945'. This would have been produced/issued some years before this date. The tin has some surface wear and minor corrosion but is quite good and all text is legible. Very clean inside and the rubber lid seal remains intact. These rations were officially issued as part of survival kits. Empty. Extremely rare and one of very few we have seen. Stock code S26412.
