Bovey Pottery Churchill figure

By The Bovey Pottery, Devon, England.  Part of the 'Our Gang' series made in 1943.  A caricature figure of wartime British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, complete with a walking cane, cigar and Homburg hat.  It measures approximately 20cm (8") tall.  It has some surface crackling on the glaze and a tiny chip on the back of the right foot  but no serious chips or cracks.  There are a couple of small firing 'faults' where the white clay shows but this is not damage.  Manufacturer's marks to the base.  Also stamped 'Our Gang' and 'The Boss'.  Now getting much harder to find in good order.  Stock code M26479.
