RAF C-type flying helmet, early pattern

Stores reference 22c/451.  Size 3.  The leather is in excellent overall condition with only minor surface scuffing and marks.  Faintly marked in green with A Crown M and reference codes.  This example has 3 press studs fitted, making it suitable for E series and G type oxygen masks.  All straps are good and the press studs retain virtually all of their original coatings.  Excellent Bennett buckle and chinstrap complete with metal end tip.  The rubber receiver carriers are very good '+' to excellent and fully flexible.  The chamois lining is really very clean, has an A.I.D. mark and is named to 'Sykes'.  Some fraying to the velvet backing on the chintab as shown.  Sold unwired.  A lovely example in a good size.  Stock code H26493.
