Oversized canvas shoulder bag - Battle of Britain pilot?

Large heavy duty leather lined canvas bag, approximately 50 x 45 x 7cm, with leather bindings and a thick leather shoulder strap adjustable via a single pronged buckle.  The bag is closed with a large flap, secured with another heavy duty leather strap and pronged buckle.  There are no visible markings but it came with other kit relating to Battle of Britain pilot Group Captain George Powell-Shedden DSO, DFC,.  Map bag, fishing bag, gamekeeper/shooting bag?  We're not sure what it would have been used for but it's a really well made bag and far too good to throw away!  Soiled/grubby but undamaged.  Stock code GPS-BAG.
