RCAF Mk.III flying goggles

Stores reference 22/397. One of the classic 'Battle of Britain' pattern goggles. The frame is very good but has some rubbing and paint loss on exposed points. All of the frame screws are original and both frame 'stops' are in place. The leather surrounds are undamaged and very sound but some of the internal padding has hardened. I suspect some form of leather dressing has been applied that has darkened the finish a bit. The lenses have light scratching but are in excellent condition. All of the strap springs are excellent. The leather strap section has light wear and is embossed with 'R.C.A.F. 22/397, C.C.B. 1942'. A very good pair of goggles. Stock code G26584.
