Prisoner of War letter, Oflag IVA

Kriegsgefangenpost letter sent by Louis Lebeau (PoW No. 917), from Oflag IVA, a  German Prisoner of War camp for officers located in the 15th-century Burg Hohnstein, in Hohnstein, Saxony.  Strangely Lebeau has written Oflag IVC next to his PoW number, IVC being Colditz, the famed 'escape proof' camp that generated many books, a classic TV series and film.  The letter is addressed to his wife in France (re-addressed to Belgium).  Written in French, in pencil, on 13th August 1940.  The writing is difficult to read in places but my daughter, who is fluent in French, has translated as follows: My darling wife, I have received news from Binche several times already, I know that you are in France but nothing more.  From what they tell me they are not in touch with you and your parents.  I am therefore ..?.. to be reassured of you and yours.  I am writing to you in France, hoping this will find you.  I’m anxiously awaiting your news, I will be really reassured once I have received a letter written by your hand.  I truly ..?.. my darling, because of your condition, I would like to be reassured of ..?.. and also sure of your living conditions.  As the days pass, so do the hopes I’ve always had of being with you for the arrival of our little one.  But as the date approaches, it will probably no longer be possible for you to return to Binche, I really hope to return soon and to be able to do the necessary.  I hope that I will find ..?.. as soon as I get back.  Since you aren’t in ..?.. I will go back to Binche.  With all my thoughts, I send you my most ..?.. Kisses, your Lou'.
