RAF officer rank service dress cap

By Joseph Taylor Ltd. of Cambridge.  A standard officer rank peaked cap with distinctive 'flat' crown (wired).  It measures approximately 56.5cm which equates to about a UK '7' (medium).  The barathea cloth is quite clean and retains good colour.  There is a little moth at the edge of the crown/underside of the peak (see photograph) and the cloth over the peak is a bit wrinkled, perhaps this could be removed with careful steaming?  Very good narrow leather chinstrap, cloth covered buttons, mohair band and King's crown bullion badge.  The excellent inner leather band is notably deeper than on many caps and the dark grey satin lining is excellent, complete with linen label on the inner crown.  An acetate sheet is in position for protection.  Appears to have seen very little use.  An excellent cap.  Stock code U24516.
