RAF 1941 pattern Mae West stole (bladder)

£300.00 Approx $378.31, €350.06

Code: MW27050

Stores reference 22c/72.  Early yellow silk covered rubberized cotton stole for the 1941 pattern Mae West and harnessuit.  The material is generally very good, flexible and quite clean.  There are minor cuts/splits at the edges and the upper end of the oral inflation tube has been severed.  Strangely the remaining section is very flexible so it is unclear as to why the top is missing.  Fortunately there is sufficient tube remaining such that when placed into a Mae West the pocket hides the missing part.  Fitted with a circlip and a bolt(?) but no inflation lever or CO2 bottle. Air Ministry King's crown markings with 9/41 manufacture date and later 1943 inspection date.  Early yellow stoles are now increasingly difficult to find.   Stock code MW27050.
